2009 Conference

The 2009 GRA Annual Policy Conference will be held July 26-29, 2009, at the Brookings Institution conference center in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Rooms will be reserved at the Hotel Palomar, about four blocks from Brookings.

This year’s conference will draw from the tremendous knowledge and talent available in Washington, including presenters from government, think tanks, and associations, focusing on the economy, healthcare, criminal justice, infrastructure, the 2010 Census, and more.

Registration costs are $180 for a member, $155 for second attendees from a member organization. Click the links below for registration and conference details:

The Palomar is a luxury boutique hotel in a trendy part of the city. These rooms are available at a significant discount of $139 per night for a “deluxe” room and $214 per night for a “spa suite” room. You are responsible for your own room registration. You are responsible for booking your own hotel room. Call 877.866.3070 or 202.448.1800 for reservations. You must mention you are with the Governmental Research Association Annual Conference for these room rates. You may see more information about the hotel at www.hotelpalomar-dc.com. However, you cannot register with the online system and obtain the GRA conference discount. Please call the hotel to reserve your room.

Registration deadline with the hotel for this rate has been extended to Monday, July 6th. The hotel will provide three additional days before and after the conference at those rates if you would like to stay longer. Be sure to book any additional days before the deadline to ensure you receive the conference rate.

* Please note that there is another Hotel Palomar in nearby Arlington, Virginia, but that is not the conference hotel. Book your room with the Hotel Palomar in Washington, DC.
